Slow Cooker Chicken And Mushrooms



Browning the chicken and slightly sauteeing the onions give this dish a wonderfully savory flavor without any added sugars or fats. Plus, mushrooms are so good for the whole family! They are full of fiber, vitamins C & D, as well as iron and other good things to fill you and give you an immunity boost.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 pounds of chicken
2 tablespoons oil
16 ounces crimini mushrooms, sliced
1 yellow onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons cornstarch
